Mount Carmel leaders join WJHL to discuss spring community events

Mount Carmel leaders recently joined WJHL’s Good Morning Tri-Cities to share updates on exciting initiatives across town—including several upcoming spring events designed to bring families together.

During the segment, town officials highlighted two fun, family-friendly events planned for the coming months, while also discussing the Mount Carmel Senior Center.

Easter Egg Hunt – March 28

Families are invited to celebrate the season at the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Mount Carmel Park. The event begins at 12:00 p.m., with the egg hunt kicking off promptly at 12:10 p.m.

Thousands of eggs filled with candy and surprises and fun activities kids of all ages! Photo ops with the Easter Bunny! Bring your baskets and your best egg-hunting skills!

Nerf War – May 16

Later this spring, the Town will host a Nerf War on May 16 at 1:00 p.m. (location to be announced).  This event will feature a Nerf War of team battles and capture the flag.

Participants are required to bring their own Nerf guns; however, darts will be provided. Limited sets of eyewear protection will be available and will be required at all times.

Mount Carmel Senior Center

In addition to upcoming events, town leaders spoke about the Mount Carmel Senior Center. The center remains an important resource for older residents, providing opportunities for social engagement, activities, and community connection.
