$70,000 Grant Supports Mount Carmel Fire’s Air System Upgrade

The Mount Carmel Fire Department was honored to attend the luncheon celebrating the 2025 Tennessee Volunteer Fire Department Equipment and Training Grant awardees. This annual event recognizes departments across the state that are committed to enhancing safety and service through improved training and equipment.

The department received a generous grant of $70,000 to support the replacement of our SCBA compressor and fill station. This vital equipment allows the department to refill the air cylinders firefighters rely on during emergency responses, ensuring they have safe and breathable air while protecting our community.
