Mount Carmel Officials Tour Cardinal Glass
Town officials and administration recently had the opportunity to tour Cardinal Glass, a leading manufacturer and the largest employer in Hawkins County. The guided visit offered a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s cutting-edge operations and its significant contributions to the local economy.
Cardinal's Greenland plant has been a cornerstone of industrial growth in the region since 1962, providing hundreds of jobs and fostering innovation in glass manufacturing. During the tour, town leaders engaged with plant managers, learned about the production process, and discussed future opportunities for collaboration and community support.
"Cardinal Glass is a cornerstone of Hawkins County’s workforce and innovation. We’re proud to have such a strong partner in our community," said Mayor John Gibson. "This visit reinforced our commitment to supporting local industry and ensuring Mount Carmel continues to grow alongside our business leaders."
The Town of Mount Carmel extends its gratitude to Cardinal Glass for hosting the tour and for its continued investment in the region. Strengthening relationships between local government and industry is key to building a resilient and prosperous community.
